A surgical procedure for men and women to correct deformities resulting from pregnancy or important weight increase (excess skin, protuberant abdomen, stretchmarks, etc.). The aim is to remove excess skin and fat from the abdomen and treat muscles to improve contour. The scar is transverse at lower abdomen level and may go from hip to hip, so it is hidden by a swimsuit or underwear.
We currently accompany HiDef liposculpture to mold, tone and slim down: waist, arms and buttocks; except for patients who are seriously overweight where it is counterindicated.
Taking into account a conventional lipectomy stretches the remaining skin downwards suturing just above the pubic region; this procedure results in the navel looking stretched and anti-natural. To resolve this, we remove the navel during stage 1 of the procedure to enable better abdominal skin recovery.
The liposculpture is performed during stage 2 to achieve better abdominal definition and a new navel is created in younger shape and position. This results in an athletic figure with desired hourglass shape, and esthetically pleasing navel, no visible sign of the surgery performed (the main skin is invisible below underwear or a bikini).
This surgery is performed under general anesthesia, lasting approx. 3-4 hours, and the patient usually stays overnight at the clinic, and has a 2-3 week incapacity.
